First EU-India Joint Researchers Workshop – October 9th

ICOS is pleased to announce the First Joint Workshop on Semiconductors between the European Union and India, organized on October 9th in Brussels.

India and the European Commission launched the EU-India Trade and Technology Council in February 2023 to increase bilateral cooperation, to boost bilateral trade and investment (in the same context as the free trade agreement under negotiation between the two parties), and to capitalise on both parties’ strengths to ensure their technological and industrial leadership while preserving their shared values.

And on 23 November 2023, the EU and India finalised a Memorandum of Understanding on Semiconductors, committing to further deepen cooperation on the semiconductor ecosystem, its supply chain and innovation.

As part of efforts to strengthen ties, both parties will convene the inaugural EU-India 1st Semiconductor Researchers Workshop in Brussels entitled “More than Moore Functionalities, Heterogeneous Integration and Packaging, Sustainable Manufacturing Materials, and IC & System Design”
