Successful First EU-Singapore Semiconductor Researchers Forum

On July 8–9 in Brussels, ICOS held the very first Forum between the European Union and Singapore in the field of semiconductors.

We had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from both regions, including Pierre Chastanet and Katherine Power from the European Commission, as well as Aaron Voon-Yew Thean (Deputy President & Provost, NUS) and Tan Chee Seng (Senior Director, A*STAR).

The event featured high-level scientific presentations on key challenges in the sector, which sparked discussions and identified several promising areas for potential cooperation in Heterogeneous Integration, Advanced Functionalities and Advanced Packaging.

As Pierre Chastanet highlighted, ICOS plays a key role in strategically identifying opportunities for cooperation and connecting experts around critical and high-interest topics at the European level.

We are proud to have witnessed a moment of constructive exchange and networking, marking an important first step toward international cooperation.
