ICOS – Plenary Session at EFECS 2024: Presentation available

ICOS was represented at EFECS 2024 in Ghent, Belgium on December 5-6th by a booth and a keynote address during the Plenary session.

Francis Balestra, ICOS coordinator, presented during the Plenary the main objectives and outcomes of the first half of the Horizon Europe project.

The following results were highlighted: main topics and countries for international cooperation, economic landscape analysis and industrial ecosystems with strengths and weaknesses in EU and other leading semiconductor regions, growth of the main markets in the next decade, opportunities for new markets, major dependencies of the EU on US and Asia, identification of  the most promising technologies in advanced computing and functionalities for different applications, main challenges and possible solutions for emerging technologies, analysis of technological strengths and gaps in Europe and leading countries for international cooperation, main impacts of ICOS.

The booth was a good opportunity to answer question and to publicize the work accomplished so far.
